ショートカクテル
ショートカクテルとはカクテルの中でも短時間で飲み干すことに適したカクテルのことを指す。ショートドリンクスともいう。対語はロングカクテル。一般に度数が高く、量は少なめである。大概はカクテルグラスに注がれる。短時間で飲むことを前提に作られている為、氷が入っていることは稀である。入っていてもクラッシュドアイスである場合がほとんど。冷たい内に飲みきるのがマナーとされる。元来は食前酒であり、食事前や乾杯の際などに1、2杯飲む物である。食後に飲む場合でも、最初に1、2杯飲むというのが欧米では一般的な飲み方である。
